I thought the glowing coals effect was one of the coolest (cheap) ideas I'd seen on here in a while so I set out to shamelessly copy it. I'm only posting it because I came up with a minor variation that allows you to have easy access to your lights underneath in case of a burn out.

My variation was rather than spray the foam directly onto the lights and plastic bottles or wiffle balls etc... I sprayed it all onto a clear plastic sheet. That way if I need to mess with the lights, replace a strand or bulb, etc... I merely need to pull the plastic off, adjust as needed, then place back on. Photos attached.

That is a great idea! It makes sense to be able to fix the lights if necessary.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

Simple adjustment that save a bunch of headaches later! Nicely done!
