This year, we're adding a Grim Reaper tombstone, that will hold a flame cauldron, and my biggest prop yet, our cemetery gates.
Here's the construction progress as of last night, on our Grim Little Reaper. Quite simple, PVC frame, foam skull and hands and feet from a bag O' bones, chicken wire fencing, black burlap, and a $10 el cheapo flame cauldron from Spencer's.
So far, not too shabby. Monster Mud should happen tonight, after we go buy the wood for our support bases for the gates.

Allright. We were busy this weekend!
First, the Reaper, no longer nekkid:

Now for the cemetery gates. Here's the framework for the bottom sections:

And here's the bottoms with the tops set up. The fence is 6 feet tall.

Here's a quick test of how the top sections will sorta-kinda look when everything's assembled:

And with the flash turned off:

The foam is almost done for the bottoms, the tops are today's project. The archway will come either tomorrow or later tonight.

No photos today. We spent the whole afternoon hurrying, and prepping pieces to glue onto the columns. Kinda boring to take photos of a bunch of goofy looking oddly cut geometric shapes lying on a garage floor covered in QuickGrip clamps and Loctite glue.
We ran into issues with my piss-poor accuracy using a jigsaw at a 45 degree angle. Man, that is NOT what jigsaws are designed for. Either that or I gotta invest in a very different jigsaw.
SOOOOO we dragged my bandsaw upstairs and brought it outside! SCREW IT! But I tell ya... if you wanna cut a very accurate 45 degree edge down long pieces of wood or foam or ANYTHING..... bandsaw. Hellz yeah.
So now because of the magical technologies involved in spinning a 7 foot saw blade around giant wheels, we made speedy progress and got hella-caught-up in this project and I don't feel too panicked. We might get everything done in time! Granted, I'll be painting details Saturday night, heh heh heh....
We're also considering engraving some Latin into the archway... gonna make sure I get the translation correct, though.
Anyone speak Latin? Cuz I trust Babelfish as far as I can poop. Even after White Castle.
