My first fog chiller attempt is finished (except for paint).
I was laid of earlier this year so I am spending nothing on props this year. I am just building with what i have.
I made this out of some free wood found on craigslist.
The cover is cardboard duct taped on and there is a screen inside for the ice to sit on.
The inlet is from an old water bottle that i cut the bottom off of.
The outlet is left over screen and plastic that will be covered with leaves.
There is no ice in it in the video.
For $0.00 i am happy with the results.[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZNPn23eYZw"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZNPn23eYZw[/ame]

That is really resourceful! I found the ice chest I used for mine on the side of the road. :-)

Sweet.
Start making ice cubes in the freezer and you won't even need to buy bagged ice.

Why does it seem to do so danged well even without the ice? I'm assuming that the box acts as an expansion chamber and lets it dense up before exiting?
Looks good btw.
Sorry to hear about your lay off. Sux. Maybe it's a door opening for something bigger.

Are you storing the residual water inside of the box?

I only drilled a few small holes in the bottom on the ice side.
(There are two chambers in the box with a 2" gap on top of the divider)
I deleted the pictures i took while it was in progress so here is the ice chamber after all the fog cleared out.
The duct tape is around the edge of the lid to seal it. It just presses together. I put a piece sticking out folded over to open it.
