I'm going to have to sell my werewolf prop. I hit a pot-hole of death last weekend and it killed two of my tires and rims. I was able to get one from a junkyard, but still need a second one either new or used. So, I'm going to attempt to sell my favorite homemade prop on craigslist. Do you think 85$ obo is asking to much? He's 5'8" or so, and looks awesome. I've had so many people complimenting me on him. Anyways, I now need to sell him so I can get a new rim. lol. Not happy about that at all. But hey. I can hopefully make a new one. I've got some left over wire fence and plenty of clothes to cover him. Just need to buy a new mask and hands. hmmm.

Sorry to hear you have to sell him . But I think 85 is more than fair considering the mask and gloves would probably go for 50 at any store. Add in the clothes, frame and labor...easily 85, take no less than 75.

This is the right time of year to try and sell it! Prices will drop after Halloween. I don't know what the price would be for this prop, but you might scope some props out on eBay to get an idea how to price it. It's not motorized, but it looks great so $85 does not seem too high to me. Keep in mind most people on Craigslist offer a lower than list price. So if $85 is your lowest price, you may want to post it for 10% or 20% more than that.

lol. I'm willing to part with him for 70, so I upped the price a little for haggling purposes.

Bummer that you have to sell it. Have you tried craigslist for a rim. I'd think a stock rim should be realitively cheap

Yeah. I was able to get one, but still need another. Called 35+ junkyards, salvage yards and used car parts stores (all of them in the surrounding area to an hour drive out) and no luck.

Good luck on the prop sale. It looks great.

We once blew out two tires and rims at the same time and it sure is an expensive unexpected repair. We were one of 3 cars that hit the same pothole--one after the other in succession as we all made the same turn. The other 2 cars got lucky in that they only needed 1 tire and rim. It was raining too so it was such a mess to deal with and of course the car had to be towed too. We were lucky in that the pot holes had been previously reported from prior accidents and were on record with the city as in need of repair. No warning markers were posted either, so we were able to recoup a part of the expensive (less depreciation factoring in age of our prior tires and rims) from the City where it happened. Thought I would mention it in case you can file a similar claim. We made sure we went back and took pictures of the giant holes before the City got to to fill them. Took a while to get the money out of the City but eventually we did.
