Here are a few pictures from my front yard. Some of the props are from last year (toe-pincher coffin, cemetery sign) while the scarecrow is a new addition. I also have a few new gravestones which I posted over in another post and I made a Ouiga Board that I also posted a couple pix of in another post. Once I get the floodlights set up I'll post some more night shots (I do have the blacklights set up on the porch for the web). I made a "flicker unit" so the lights are just a little warbly (is that even a word?).
FYI...for those who wanted their webs to glow, I just made mine out of yarn that is specifically used to make baby blankets. I just Google Image Searched on "spider webs" and copied a couple web designs that I found.
I have a FCG I am going to put in the front upstairs window and I've been working on a "pepper's ghost" effect for the front boarded up window.
I have a pretty massive PA (Mackie SA1502Z powered cabs and a B48 Cerwin Vega sub) that I set up outside, and my daughter and I made some "creepy, scary" recordings that I'll pump through at max volume from my little Mac laptop. (at least til 10pm)
Between the props, the lights, the fog machine and the scary sounds (and Rob Zombie tunes!) it really gets the kids going!
My FCG... going to use an oscillating fan to drive it
Last year's toe-pincher coffin (left over wood from my daughter's playhouse)

It takes a few hours and it took me a couple years before they looked really nice (the first couple tries looked too nice and not all that good). Looking at real webs I noticed that almost all of them have about 20 spokes emanating from the center. That is key to realistic looking webs(orb webs at least).
The spider is one of my only store bought props left...He's just better than anything I could have made given the time (I've seen some really great spiders in the forum from time to time). Maybe next year.
