First post here - Trying my hand at paper mache pumpkins.

Started with this(well not technically) -

    "carved first one" -

    Together -

    Starting with the details -

I may have put the clay on a bit too thick, its taking forever to dry. So far its acceptable for my first go. I have to give props to Stolloween.com for the inspiration.

Great looking pumpkins. I have been wanting to try the same thing since I visited The Stolloween site. Maybe next year. Until then I am thrilled at seeing the beautiful creations people like yourself have done with the Stolloween inspiration and tutelage. Keep it up. They are fantastic.

Have you tried a fan? Mine typically dried in about a day using a fan (if you are using Stolloween's pulp recipe, I don't know about others).

Stem detail added as well as a layer of mache over clay to smooth it out. Probably going to do one more layer of mache then paint.
