Can I leave my black lights outside at night or do you bring them in? It gets pretty cold here in MN at night but I really don't want to have to take them all in. I looked on the package/instructions and it says nothing about cold temps. Anyone know if they can be out in cold temps?

I live in Ontario and use compact sprial black light bulbs, we leave them outside all the time. It gets plenty cold here too. never had a problem even with the larger lights. sometimes it takes longer for the tube lights to warm up tho.

I'm in MN also and used a black light to light up the inside of my outhouse. Never had a prob. I also picked up some of the spiral ones to use in my webbing to light it up. Oh, I also use the bulb type in our front yard light and have never had any probs over the years with them. I've done it for about 3 years now.

Michigan here. I also use them extensively. No problems. They will take longer to warm up in cold and you may be robbed of some of their output if it is very cold. If your fixture has the newer magnetic ballasts you should have no problems.

I live in the no-so-cold Pacific Northwest. It does occasionally get cold in the winter here. I leave my blacklights up in my eve year round. Never had an issue with them.
I wish everyone was as kind as creepycathy!
