    hey everyone im new here im playing a clown themed maze through my garage this year i was planing on just stapleing sheeters plastic up but when i did a test with a sheet i had laying around (a bed sheet) it riped right out of were i stapled it will this happen with the plastic? and what mim should i buy

    Well I have plastic in my garage and have not had any problems with it tearing down. But if you want it more secure you could always wrap the plastic around a 1X2 and then screw that to the sheetrock.

    I think the thickness is 7 mil? It's the heavy duty black plastic in the 100' rolls. As for the staples I think 9/16? again the longer the better in my opinion. The plastic is the same stuff from my crawl space vapor barrier. Hope that helps and good luck. Also what might help some as well is after you attach it to the drywall, tape over it with some clear packing tape. I did this in some areas that might get heaver traffic. Good luck.

    What about some black duct tape in the areas you are going to staple? It should work like the little ring stickers that you put on three whole paper so they don't tear.

    I am currently doing a maze in our garage and we are using lumber wrap. It is way thicker than plastic, more like tarp material and it is FREE! Stapling is no problem.

    also i forgot to say the main thing is the plastic riping from the staple not the staple comeing out from the wall
    harbor freight has 11by17 feet green tarps my theme is clowns so i think i might buy those! would that be a better choice?
