I posted this question in the tutorials/step by step forum, but figured it would get more views here.
I'm trying to solder two leads to a remote control circuit board with no luck.
I've located the two contact points in which to solder my wires but I not able to get the solder to stick...
Is there any secrets or a special type of solder???
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance.

Proper soldering takes a little practice. You need to heat the 2 things you are joining first, then add the solder. Make sure the wire is contacting the point you want to solder to, and heat both at the same time with solder iron. It should only take a few seconds depending on the heat of the iron. Add the solder and pull away the solder iron almost at the same time and you should have a neat little solder joint. Make sure you let it cool for a few seconds before you touch the wire again or you might break the connection. I always temporarily tape my wires down to keep them in place before I solder a joint.
