Well, you can score a couple neck messagers and do grave grabbers, thunder and lightning, good lighting, fencing, pillars, friends dressed up wandering the graveyard, coffin chiller. Sorry if you have already done my suggestions.

Really! Competition! I joke about it because there is no other yard haunt that I have found in my entire county. I can't believe that people really give any thought to competition. I do it for my own self gratification. I love to see what I can think up, engineer and build. I look at myself as an artist. I express my art at Halloween. I thank my lucky star for an arena that I can be taken seriously in. Competition is not for me. I do need the outside stimulation and inspiration, though. Oh, by the way, mine is better than yours!

have you seen some of the haunts displayed on this forum?
on a shoe string buget of $200, well lets just say i wont be calling you "his majastey" anytime in the near future.
over the top usually requires an over the top budget.
that being said, what about doing a giant spider climbing up onto your house. (i mean giant!)
16, ten foot sections of black pvc pipe, 45* fittings and a role of 10' wide black plastic (for the body) should keep you under your $200 budget. not to mention a huge spider going over the top (of your house.
)
good luck!

Alot of the props made on this board are from stuff laying around.
Search the boards I am sure you can find something in your budget.

This is crazy but needs to be monitored –

I drilled out the regulator ball from a propane tank valve and sent i thru a solenoid. It is timed by a hacked fog timer. For my party I have it mounted 20 feet off the ground and the flame shoots out of the mouth of a large image of a devil head. For TOTs I mount it to a torch and have a skeleton sitting on a fence holding the torch - the flame shoots upward and is far from anyone but still dramatic. This needs to be monitored fro obvious reasons. Very over the top and cheap.
