Hi, I have an 7.5 ft tall monster I created with a lot of PVC and a very large PVC base. But since he is so tall and has a couple sheets across him, he is like a gigantic sail! Any idea how I can add weight to the base? I was thinking of filling the PVC on the base with concrete or something. I will post pics as soon as I can get him to stand up straight! Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Any way you can post a pic of what you have so far, specifically the base? It would help make recommendations on how to anchor it.

Here are some pics. I want to do at least 2 ungheto things this year (baby steps). I have decided to make the a QUALITY FCG (opposed to the trash bought last year on ebay) and the second is this guy...maybe I need to add some chicken wire or something...or maybe I just need to start over completely.

Strap it down to a sheet of plywood then get some big rocks and set on the plywood. To hide the wood I covered mine with mulch.
I guess the problem may be no mulch and no big rocks.. I had both and it worked really well to secure my 7 foot tall pumpkin snatcher.

Another idea, tent stakes from your local superbox store and straightened out metal clothes hangers. Wrap one end of the hanger wire around your PVC with pliers and attach the other end to the tent stake.
That's of course if your gonna put him in the grass or dirt. I used tent states to hold up a pirate mast all of October last year without a single problem.

Your prop is awesome - will scare the crap out of many. Once you have him secure he will do his thing - the bags of sand as a base and mulch are great solutions.
