With my garage haunt build almost complete, I already have ideas for next year and will be building stuff through out the year for next year. Anyone else in the same boat?

We began planning this year's walkthrough haunt while building last year's. Already talking about next year as we build this year's. It never ends.

We usually pick the theme for the next Halloween about a year and a half in advance. It's hard to concentrate on finishing up props when your thinking ahead to the next year...but it happens every time. It's so addictive!! You get a little idea in your head and your sucked in.

We try to think of next year's theme so we can take advantage of clearances and sales this year.

already thinking about next year.
after 3 years of basically the same stuff i'm starting early on a new theme.
will either be selling most of what i have and building new stuff or trying to changs up what i have alterations.
next year i'm going with a carnival / sideshow theme and probably going to turn the garage into a game booth complete with headless beanie babies as giveaways. my wife has HUNDREDS of them that we can put to good use.

Wow, how can you guys afford to change the theme each year? LOL

"You know I haven't!"
"Then don't judge me!"

I've made some rough plans for next year's haunt. We're scaling back after this year to make it easier, and to require less help in running it.

next year and the year after........
inspired by many on here i think - i can build that, so add it to the (long) list.
i have not built up this years yet, but i already know somethings for next year.
+ as stated above, you need to have some plan so you can get the bargains on November 1st!!!!

Next year we will probably control all of our props with DMX, particularly if Brookshire Software doesn't update VSA and extend its channel capacity beyond 128. We will have to convert our SSC-32 controlled servos to DMX controlled servos and we will have to use Phoenix's VSA Masher program and DMXorcist so we can go beyond VSA's channel limit. We'll see.

Don't have a real theme this year,I'm glad to get a "haunt" for the 1st time LOL
