The never ending pillar and fence job has finally been completed. As usual, this job went way beyond my original plan for a simple pvc fence. Bobzilla was kind enough to share his free foam blocks with me so I decided to make pillars for the fence. Then the fence didn't look right with just the pvc so I cut out and painted all the finials. However, now that it's done, I'm really happy with the results.

I have another 6 pillars with chain between them to fence in the driveway.

I just put up a few of my tombstones that I've picked up from garage sales to let my neighbors see that this is not permanent.

Looks really nice! You've got a pretty big yard there. How many feet of fencing did you build?

I am seeing these whenever I close my eyes and I have to thank you as well for that! Your pillars inspired me to try my hand at making my entrance columns and now I'm hooked on using foam. Pink foam, white foam, blocks or sheets, it's all good. In addition to the 15 fence pillars and the 2 entrance columns, I built a dungeon cell and 12 tombstones all from foam this year. Hopefully I won't have much foam work to do for next year.

haha I'll bet! When we were getting our goodies out of the attic yesterday, we got to the stone fence pieces midway through my wife asked "how many of these are there?" ..clearly she thought she had better things to do. There were times while I was building them I debated about dropping a couple just to save time but was glad I didn't. The way you've done it you'll be able to control the herd and keep them from walking through your yard. That's smart. No smashed tombstones. Nice job on those too BTW.
