Finally! I'm displaying my props this year at an antique store in Wrightwood, CA called Pinker Place. I'm in the process of selling my home of 24 years and decided not to set up my usual House of Franklinstein display. I decorated the front of the store with graveyard fencing, a scarecrow, spiderwebs, spiders, bats, and some fall leaves plus a few orange lights. The inside treatment consisted of torn cheesecloth curtains, skellybats, crows, and several of my character props including the haunted fireplace surround, eyeball pumpkins, Vampiress Morbidia, Elfula Helmut, Ophelia the Witch, Frankenstein, "The Bride", Vampire Darius and of course, Zelda the Witch. Here's the link to my Photobucket album best viewed as a fullscreen slideshow....enjoy

What a great display! So cool to have all of your works in one place. Will you get them back in time for Halloween?

They really dress up the place Laurie!! And I was just wondering the other day if you would have another year with a great video of your haunt. Are you thinking of moving up there too? It's a beautiful place to live.

Thank you guys. This is where my props will be for Halloween. It's also where I plan on moving to when my house sells. Wrightwood is about 50 miles from where I currently live and it's in the mountains at about the 5200' level. The ToT's don't do the usual door to door stuff because it's much too hazardous walking around the unlit streets. What they do is go to all the stores on the main street to collect their candy. This is a total departure from my usual graveyard display but it's the best I can do for now. Once I see how things go this year, I'll decide what to plan for next year....maybe a graveyard at the end of the main street with all my characters
I just have to surrender to the fact that I'll never have a front yard haunt like I've always had in the past....when one door closes, another one opens...I hope

Looks fantastic, Laurie! I'm glad to see that more people will be able to view your creations who normally wouldn't see them. That's some great exposure for you.
I wondered--do people ask what the purchase price is on some of your props?? I'm guessing the answer is yes.

Great Display I am so envy of your Frankenstein and Bride they are AWESOME. Really glad you get to continue to decorate for Halloween even if it isn't at home. G'luck to you in the sale of your house. Looking forward to next year when you are more settled in. Maybe you can decorate different shops each year?
Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an earth-shattering KABOOM!!
