Okay, so i'm in charged of my highschool's haunted walk and the theme is the Asylum. My scene will be the 'basement were they secretly do these weird treatment experiements.' We will have the electro-shock therapy in an electric chair style (My dad and I are building it.) However i'm stumped on other creative "devices" that the patients would be strapped in or going through as a form of weird "treatment." Got any ideas??

    ya need a labotomy victom
perhaps somebody laying on a table covered in a white blanket.

the blanket needs a bloodstain on the forehead, hammer and punch on the table (you could leave the punch protruding from the forehead.)

    straight jackets
    dunk/drownding tank of some form
    small cages
    shackles

Surely, one of the students there has the uncanny ability to fold his or her eyelids up? (Ask around, you never know *shrug*) Or even if they can't, you could still basically recreate the brainwashing sequence from 'A Clockwork Orange':

How about a living hand? They make one where it looks like you are holding onto a severed hand that actually moves.

An iron maiden thingy would be fun..

Note about the clockwork orange scene: (I have the special edition w/ interviews) The guy doing the eyedrops is in fact an optomitrist, and even with those precautions Malcom sustained a scratched cornea.

    Really? Never knew that.

In terms of the haunt, it wouldn't have to be an exact recreation of the scene though. A rough approximation thereof might still be workable, hopefully without damaging anyone's eyesight.
