I just bought (will pick up tomorrow) a small battery-operated fan that I hope will be useful on some halloween fog and other effects. It's the "TurboQue Smoker" and is on clearance through SurLaTable right now. When not used for halloween, I'm planning on using it with our bbq rotisserie for its intended purpose of working with a smoker box on the grill.

It's sold out online at SLT but can still be found in some SurLaTable stores in their clearance area if you are lucky (call your local store, they are very helpful in locating one). Uses 2 "C" batteries. A product description says it's 4.6 inches x 5.45 inches x 4.6 inches. It's on clearance for $5.99. I thought this sounded like a pretty good deal so figured I'd mention it here on the prop section. I want to use my new bubble fogger in a witch's cauldron and you really need a fan below it to send the bubbles upwards. Given the small footprint of it I thought it could work out well.

It comes with a hanging bracket (that would go on the rotisserie) that I figure could even be mounted on a haunt wall where you don't have electricity and provide a breeze to enhance the haunt atmosphere, like blowing spider webs, hanging moss, etc.

This little fan normally sells around $30 but is on summer clearance in a lot of places (SLT seemed to be the cheapest at 5.99). It's made by Charcoal Companion.

So does this sound like a good idea for the haunt or do you think I just bought a bbq accessory?

Here's links to it at SurLaTable (not sure how much longer it will be up now that it's sold out and discontinued, 2 views of it) and a link over at Brookstone.

Great find. I'm calling my local SLT tomorrow. Good idea to use a fan to float the fog bubbles.
