OK , in years past I have done the simple... PVC frame & clothes, then stuff the arms and legs with newspaper but it was never sturdy and looked a bit lumpy... what else do you all use to make your limbs? Do you stuff them too or do you use soda bottles, papier mache, clay, chickenwire...what? If you use papier mache, what do you use to seal it to make it waterproof? I would love to get some other ideas on how you all make your arms and legs more realistic and sturdy.

I've used bubble wrap and pool noodles (those long tubes that feel like a nurf football)

    Thx for the tip!
If you don't have pool noodles, I guess that would be a problem lol The stores around here are sold out of them for the year and too late to buy on line I have used pool noodles for parts of them but even then it doesnt seem to bulk it up realistically. I started using soda bottles with a hole dilled in them to slide over the pvd then duct taped and papier mached but its a bit more time consuming than I care for at this point in the game

Pipe insulation would work as a substitute. They make it in almost-pool-noodle size & it's not expensive. I get it from work occasionally. Pulled 4 pieces outta the dumpster last week!

I use 3" ABS pipe for my armatures instead of pvc. It eliminates the need to bulk up the arms and legs.
