I needed some barrels for my nuclear zone so I got these the other day from a hotel from their laundry soap..Free.. so I had bought some automotive EL wire and did a cut out of the burning nuclear waste and used hot glue to stick the el wire into the cutout opening, then used great stuff to add the ooze this is what it looks like lit up and a daylight shot it give a nice glow that adds to the area its in without disturbing the blacklight area.

Totally cool. I love the use of el-wire.

I checked out your album to see the daylight photo and that's a really nice effect there. I like nighttime corrosion look a lot. In the daylight photo, what was the white webby looking stuff (in the hole areas)? I don't think it's the el wire and assume it is used to hide the interior of the barrel.
Any chance you'd do a tutorial? I've head of el wire and have some flashing eyes I bought made with it but don't know how one would use it really in prop building. Also curious what kind of power supply you need. Thanks and nice work.
