    HI,
I have downloaded some Hallowindow files but cannot figure out how to get them working on a DVD. I have used the Hallowindow I&II DVD on a portable DVD player hooked up to my projector with no problem in the past.

How do I take the current files I have, .WMV files and there is one .M4V file, and put them on a DVD and make it loop as one file.

    Any help is appreciated.

You might want to convert the files to a single format to burn to a DVD using Windows Movie Maker if you are using Windows, of course. Try using Handbrake, it might help:

I converted all my Hallowindows to mpg files & burned those all to dvd for continues loop + all extras. I did find that with H4 I had to convert the files from the dvd disc to AVI
then was able to convert to MPG. The rest all converted straight to MPG without making them AVI 1st.....

I'm on Mac so i used "Mpeg streamclip" to convert, then "BURN" for DVD burning.

    OK,
Smaggy- I used Windows Movie Maker to make one video of the clips I wanted to include. Did not even know I had that software on my laptop, hmmmmm.

Darklord, you are over my head. I of course know what AVIs are, I can't get that to a final product.

NOW, how do I get this Windows WMV file on to a DVD that will play a continuous loop on my portable DVD?

I work with computers every day, unfortunately not video files, kinda makes me feel a bit slow.
    THANKS VERY MUCH,

I have not burned a DVD yet. I have a .WMV file I created on my desktop. Not sure what to do with it.
I would like to put that file on a DVD and somehow have it loop continuously once I hit play on the portable DVD player.
Any suggestions on how to accomplish this is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

Hey no prob, been a learning curve for me, I never was into a lot of this until I HAD to...LoL
Most dvd programs when you load it with whatever you want to burn a dvd, the program will check to see if compatible file, if not will convert it to MPG file that you can then use to make the dvd.

Do you have a DVD burning program on you pc ?

You have make the DVD just like making a CD. You need a program to do this, like Nero or Image burn etc. Then you would open that program, add the wmv files to and burn it to a DVD. To make it loop depends on the DVD burner program you have.

Let start at the begining though, do you have a DVD burner on your computer?

OK, have the WMV file on my desktop and have downloaded IMGBurn.

I tried to 'Creat Image File from Files / Folders' then tried to 'Write Imgage File to Disc'

Not thinking it worked properly. When I 'Write Image File to Disc' should I select the myfile.iso and myfile.mds? Do I need to select them both?

    Thanks,

Here is the forum site on dvd burning. Not knowing this program, I would check thru these to help you. You may have to covert the WMV to something else, then load to IMGBURN. You need to see what IMGBURN supports for load files that it can burn

Usually you use the VOB & IFO files in the VIDEO_TS folder of a file.....
