Hello again I was wondering if anyone knew were I could get some blue, yellow and any other color flood lights (just the bulbs). I tried homedepot and they have ones for $6 each and thats a little pricey seeing as I have to get at least 10 total.
Thanks, Malcore

You might try Walmart and see if they are any cheaper. But $6 is about the going rate for the colored flood light bulbs.

There are other holidays besides Halloween? When did they start that?

or you could paint them yourself. I have done this in the past.

If you have out door lighting u might think in looking into gel paper ----theatrical use adds tone and contrast to props without replacing any existing lighting

As said before, $6 is about the going rate for colored flood lights. Also (as said before) you can paint regular clear bulbs. Try a light coat of spray paint, or try transparent glass paint, available at craft stores. But if the bulbs get very hot, particularly halogens, the paint will burn. So, go with lower wattage bulbs (e.g., 45W). The other issue you'll find here is that the paint scratches pretty easily (but it also does this on the colored bulbs you can buy that are already paainted). You can use theatrical lighting gels (eBay search "stage lighting gel"), but the same caveat holds about the heat -- the gels will melt if they are too close to the bulb, so you'd more than likely have to contrive a way to hold the gel away from the bulb an allow the heat to escape. As cheezeball66 said, this is the way to go if you have, or have access to, low-voltage landscape lighting.
Having done all these things in the past few years, I bit the bullet and got some LED bulbs of different sizes from Minion's Web. Corey has done a fine job with these lights - they are bright, color is vivid, they take hardly any power, and they are cool to the touch when burning. And the claim is that they'll last a while (not burn out quickly). Only problem is, you thought $6 was a lot to spend. These puppies run from $12 to $25. Still, I got several "warm white" bulbs and, because they produce no heat, can easily wrap the bulb face with gels for different colors.
Luck!

I know they are more, but I highly recommend leds. True color, safe, and will probably last you the life of your haunts to come. You wont be able to get them now, but plan on ordering with Minions Web when he has his yearly early sale.
