    Default Best type of styrofoam for Gravestones? – 10-07-2010,06:57 PM


    What's the best type of styrfoam when making gravestones? Or best material, for that matter. Normally we have wooden ones but this year i want to add detail to them so i decided i want to use styrofoam so i can carve them however i want.

    I just use foam insulation which you can get at HD or lowes. $14 for a 4X8 piece.

    Yeah I get the pink Foam insulation sheets...I get them at Menards...they are a bit cheaper than the other hardware stores...and they are 4' x 8' sheets...they come in varying thicknesses up to, I believe, 2".
