    what is better
    the fogger cleaning solution at the stores
    or the home made distilled water and white vinegar?

    i found c.l.r. (calcium, lime and rust) to be the miricle cleaner when it come reviving a gummed up fogger.

    I've never had luck with any solution or vinegar mix for reviving a dead fogger...once it's gummed up I think that stuff is pretty hard. I have, however, repaired the pumps to revive a fogger and also heard of dismantling the heater to clean the pipes out but I don't think that solution is meant to be like Drano for a fogger, its meant to clean soft residue out and leave behind something that won't dry and clog it up.

    straight. (small amounts)

    my fogger was gummed up for over 2 years (collecting dust in the basement)

    it wasn't completely clogged but it over heated like crazy and the fog exited the fogger on a 45* (very slow like)

    i stood the fogger upright and used a syringe (just the plastic part) to inject it into the tip.

    i let it soak then re applied 10 mins later.
    rinsed out the nozzle and allowed the fogger to dry over night (just incase any electrical got wet)

    next morning, i plugged it in and it worked like a charm.
    its safe for coffee machines, can't be all that bad for a fogger.

    I have a 1000 watt stop.

    I'll try to clean it's insides like EEric said to.

    These are the best ways to revive a fogger? because i have 2 actually 3 foggers 2 cheap 400 watt foggers and my 5 year old 700 watt Fog f/x machine to fix. my uncle will try to fix the pump on that 700 watt that foggers was the best one i got and was free!!
