Has anyone purchased the talking bust set at Sam's Club? If so, how well do they work? Are they worth the $$? I'm thinking about buying them...

Hallow MM -
We did! They are set up on our "Vampire Room" and they are cute. They work well and although some may think they could hack them to say better things - they seem to be just what we expected.
They are expensive though...
I say - if you want a nice dinner out with your special someone - or to start a winter fund to go to the Bahamas, then I would put your money back in the jar. As nice as they are - you will perhaps grow tired of how they repeat themselves all night and day... My hubby liked them more than me...

I'll see if I can post a video today. Not sure exactly how to do that... but I'll give it a shot later this afternoon.
If Sam's has the same policy as Costco - you could buy it - try it - and if you don't like 'em - return...." TO SERVE MAN " ... IT'S A COOKBOOK!"

You can return just about anything to Sam's Club, I was a supervisor there during my college years. We even had people that would purchase holiday decorations when they were at full price, then return them after the holiday. The items would then be marked down in the system and the same person would wait till the item got put back out and buy it again for a bargain, lol.

I picked up the animated head busts last week at our Sams Club!! They also had a skeleton reaper guy, he was ok I guess, I wasn't too impressed with him..." TO SERVE MAN " ... IT'S A COOKBOOK!"

I purchased these bust, animation is good, seems to be solid construction so far,and I think the faux stone work is good for the money. I have only watched them work for a short while, just use as decor for now.

My problem with these kinds of things has always been that the activating sensors work fine in a well lit environment, but not worth a darn in a darker place. I have a different set of busts, but in order to make them work in my front yard haunt, I had to rig up an LED in front of the sensor, and tie that LED into a standard motion type sensor to make IT work, which then kicks off the prop. Lot 'o extra hoo-rah for a store bought automatic prop.
