My problem was the hole through the hands, had to trim it up a little. Also, if you're displaying her outside, be sure to anchor her somehow as shes top heavy. Mine fell down last year and broke her neck, movement mechanism broke and had to rig it just to keep her head up. I put a cinder block under her dress on the base

Can someone help with this, I cannot get a straight answer from Gemmy. If you have this witch can you tell me if the hole that the stick goes into is smooth or does it have for lack of a better word a bump on it? I can only get my stick to go about 1/4 of an inch into the hole.

Can you all take a look at the hole the stick goes into, is there a bump in there from about 1/4 inches from the top all the way down?

How far down do your sticks go into the hole? I can just get 1/4 of an inch down.

Do your sticks have notches in them to accomodate the bump?

I'm trying to determine if I have a defective unit or am I doing something wrong, everything else works.

If you mean the hole that exists in the cauldron that the stick goes into, mine is smooth... just set it up last night.
