Is there anyway to strengthen Spirit's cheesy cemetery gateway?

Yeah, I was unimpressed with it falling down under it's own weight in the store.
I suppose you could glue a wire or two to the edge to make a frame.
Or coat it with ureathane or fiberglass resin (try a small area near column base 1st).
Looks like it would make a better desert climate prop.

Throw it away and build your own. Or use some re-bar and zip ties.

We will try to duct tape bamboo sticks to it (or glue it?)

Perhaps build a frame to fit inside the cardboard. Use 2x2 wood, assemble a box shape, fit the cardboard over it and staple the cardboard to the wood?
After all that effort, you could also just build from scratch.Doctor Grim

I'd be interested in seeing pics of / hearing about other gates / fences. I don't want kids walking up to my front yard graveyard and tripping over wires, seeing as they're attracted by the fog, floodlights, etc.
Really don't want anything fancy. Just something protective and inexpensive that will get the job done.
