Thread: Where to Find GRAY Lighting?

It's pretty easy to find colored lights for both indoors and outdoors but I'm looking for muted gray-ish light. Disney's Haunted Mansion-style lighting is what I'm looking for and I noticed their bulbs have little gray , almost sock looking, things on them. Has anyone got gray-ish colored light in their home or haunt and how did you manage it?

You could try some nylon stockings, it should mute your light.

That's all they are doing just producing a dimmer light not gray. A normal strobe light produces a very bright flash where as a muted light produces a much lighter and filtered light.

Try some different fabrics and let us know what you find. (think fabric window blinds)

Black nylons would probably work. Though I've no clue on the cost of such things since I don't wear them.

It's bad enough I have to wear some sort of closed shoe with socks in the cold weather, I want no parts of tights or nylons.

I would test putting anything on a light outside first & watch your hands so you don't get burned. With everything going on Halloween night ,things like lights will go unchecked for sure.
