I have searched google and of course this website (which takes a lot longer than google) but I still can't find any good ideas. So I figured to just ask to masters! I am doing a hospital theme for our Halloween party. (This is just in one small room of my house) I want to hang pictures on the wall but other than pictures of crazy people I don't know what else to put in the frames. I thought about wording...but coming up blank. I am still not sure if I am sticking completely with hospital or going for physc ward or a combination of both. Any ideas/pictures of your hospital room would also be greatly appreciated.

The only question I'd have is, what does a crazy person look like? That alone makes your task more difficult...but not impossible.
Personally, I'd scour the internet for OLD photos. Google image search things like "old photograph". From there, let your photoshop skills soar and just do some minor tweaks. Maybe make the eyes all white, without any features at all. Little subtleties like that make things a thousand times creepier, IMO.
As for text, I'm not sure. I work in healthcare, and I can't say I've seen many photos at all in the hallways of my hospital, let alone crazy people with text. I'd just go for like names and maybe birth/death dates that you make up. (And if you should happen to have a ton of people who mysteriously all died the same day woven into the mix, all the creepier!)Recipe for haunting success-
Artist's eyes, surgeon's hands, and the heart of a child.

I'm doing the mental hospital theme this year. I'm turning a bathroom into a treatment room. On the walls I am going to have pictures of vintage anatomy charts and diplomas of psychiatrists - all available thru google images. The treatment room will have scattered surgical instruments, a car battery with wires and cables and some medicine jars.

Have you thought about putting fake psychiatry degrees in the frames? You could go with silly doctor names like Dr. Ivana Brane or something more subtle like Dr. Samuel Loomis (Donald Pleasence's character in the "Halloween" movies). You could also play around with the school names, like Bloodsplatter University.

you could frame some of those Rorschach Inkblot test cards they use. Also parts of the brain images.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing,Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before

As far as pic of crazy people,..... how about past crazys that made the news, Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, Ronald Defeo, Richard Ramirez, John Gracy, Hillside stranglers, Charles Mansion,.......I could go on.........
plenty of real crazy people out the with pics you could use....... hell how about us for some of the people we voted into office....
( sorry couldn't help that last one .....)

How 'bout some x-ray images. You should able to find some through Google.

One of the degrees could be for the Labotomist, another for someone specilizing in Shock Therapy etc..

Thanks everyone for the great ideas. I have done tons of degrees, medical equipment, and past patients using names suggested. (including politicians.

In the movie "Asylum" (1972 from Amicus Productions, the studio that came after Hammer Films) showed old wood cuts and other prints from what treatments were available in the past. It was pretty creepy, not sure if you could find any but it would give a authentic nostalgic look to it.
