Thread: Hell Gate help

Im going to make a Hell gate out of styrofoam but i need help with three simple questions. 1) What do i use to (glue) or stick the sytrofoam piece by piece?
2) what kind of paint do i need to use (im going to paint it dark grey)
3) what do i use to cut the styrofoam from home depot.

I can't be of much help on the first question....but on the paint and cutting here goes:

Paint,

I used Water based Createx Airbrush paint for the styrofoam grave stones that I made this year, they turned out great and once it's dried I haven't have any issues with it "washing" off in the rain or morning dew.

for the cutting, I used a serated kitchen knife to "saw" out my rough shapes. an OLFA knife(breakoff blades) worked well for the finer details.

Hope that helps a bit, I know there's lots of different ways to do this stuff, I'm sure you'll get other input and MAKE SURE YOU POST PICS WHEN YOU'RE DONE!!!

hell gate?!! what cha going to put behind the gate or in the room. whats your set-up!?

im going to put a mirror and have a flashing strobe light. It will be simple 2 parallel coloums of strofoam and another one side ways on top of both.
