Okay so I have plenty of strobe lights. But all of them say for indoor use only. I got some nice ones last year half off. I lost a couple over the years to rain and wet weather. Do they make weather proof ones? How can I make mine weather proof? They are an important part of haunts but I don't want to ruin them. Thanks.

If they are rated for indoor usage, then I'd only use them outside if it's a dry night with no chance of rain. I do that with quite a few of my props.

You could waterproof the cords by placing the connections inside rubbermaid containers or plastic baggies that have been sealed (using duct tape or the like). Not sure if there are better ways to weatherproof them.

Last year it drizzled here on Halloween, so I set up my (indoor rated) mini-strobe fixture (including it's wire and plug) under a large inverted large fishbowl - totally out of the reach of ToT's.
Not what the MFR would recommend, I'm sure, but it worked out fine.
The extension cord was weatherproof, so that didn't need protection.

hey there i'm new to this forum and just like most of you i'm a halloween freak!! just as my dad has passed down to me as i'm a 15 year old expierenced with some special effects.

Of course i have two cheap yet good 400 watt fog machines both from Marcs for 12 dollars. okay on topic i have 2 strobes 1 of those mini strobes which it is old but still flashes pretty good indoors only , and a Lite F/x Outdoor strobe f/x this is what your mentioning it is fully weatherproofed the casing and the wire so it will not get ruined due to inclement weather. This strobe i had for a couple of years now doesn't dissapoint!!

In my instance they are indeed being sold in fact i got it at Marcs!!
