This display has really gotten me pumped for the big night. It FINALLY stopped raining here in NY and the sun came out. So, having just finished the second blucky of this display I decided to set him up outside for a few hours as a "Teaser" for the neighbors. I think he looks awesome up on the roof. Here he is:
I debated painting him Bright Orange or Dark Orange (the paint is called Cinnamon). I went with the dark. I airbrushed the joints, ribs and such black. The eyes are two wooden dresser bulbs from hobby lobby. There is a pumpkin behind him. I will move that so it is more visible for Halloween.
Here are the two together in the final display:
Now, I just have to get the lighting right! So, what do you think?

LOL! That is sooo awesome. I love this kind of tone.
I don't know if someone mentioned this in the other thread, but it seems kinda "Spy Vs. Spy" (if you ever read Mad magazine.) Colours are great. I think it'd be the perfect thing to either change up each year or do a series of. (or maybe next year you could add a little swivel to the poor guy down below.)
Brilliant!

Beacon that is fabulous. You did excellent in the placement and its spooky yet hilarious! The face of the blucky is so mischievious. Really great addition to your growing collection of unique props.

hilarious, I love it. I kinda wish you went more over the top cartoony with the roof guys eyes, like make them "popping out"? Maybe proportinally not as big as the example image but something like this?

can you tell me/show me who you got the limbs to keep their positions? What size wire if you used that. I'm planning on using velcro and attaching them to the side of my house this year but, would like tobe able to position them in different ways.
Thanks.
