I'd like some advice on a good way to hide a speaker. My idea is this:
Set up my usual graveyard in my yard. Fence along the sidewalk with creepy stuff inside the yard. Direct all attention toward this. We have a 3 foot wide grass "strip" on the other side of the sidewalk between that and the street. I'd like to put something there that doesn't attract a lot of attention and hide a speaker through which I can play a scream sound (or something else loud and scary). So when people are looking at the graveyard, I can scare them with the scream sound behind them.
We don't have a lot of trees in our neighborhood so a pile of leaves is out. I thought about just draping it with a black cloth but I think that might make people wonder what it is. It needs to look like some "extra decorations" or something.
Thoughts?

A tomb stone is perfect for hiding speakers, or make a paper mache hollow rock.....

A Dummy. A No-frills, been-there, done-that, Ho-Hum Dummy. Nobody will expect it to scream.

The local hardware store just gave me about fifteen styrofoam (beaded) blocks I am carving into stones of various sizes to hide spotlights (inside high guage PVC so the foam doesn't get too hot and melt). You could use something like that to hide a computer speaker or even a larger house speaker. There a couple of really good how-to's out there. Or if you don't want to build you can pick up one at Menards for about $25 bucks (on clearance now). They sound pretty good for the cost.

OOOOOOOr.... google "rock-it", for $50 you get a little device you can stick to a cardboard box or paper cup... in other words, GARBAGE! According to the reviews it sounds pretty good.

What would be more surprising than hearing a scream from a piece of trash?

You could get a bale of straw and place a carved pumpkin on top of it and put your speaker inside.
