I'm a little bored @ 3.40am and figured I'd post a little custom desktop prop I made for an Art Show a while back. If nothing else it may provide some inspiration for a fullsize prop.
This is Sparky McGee.
I was invited to participate in an show put on by the folks who make those creepy Living Dead Dolls (LDD). They sent out blank doll and I just happened to see one of those little desktop electric chairs with the skeleton in it called Joltin' Jack at Walgreens so I grabbed 2.
It just happened to be the perfect size so I cut up the LDD so it was jointed, added some weight to the head with clay, pulled off Jack and did some tests...
Once I was satisfied there I broke out the sewing machine and channelled my inner home economics student and whipped up a prison jumpsuit.
After some thinking, a little more sewing and some acrylic paint I came up with this facial paint and mask combo...

Lastly I created a little backstory for our friend Sparky (might be a little tough to read).
In the end, Sparky sold to a LDD collector for $300 and even so, I hated to let him go.
You can see all the photos I have of him here....
