    hello all i recently finished my fcg rig and wired my extension cord to motor...here is my question - i attached the white and black wires but what do i do with the green/ground wire - its just hanging there?

    is there a ground wire on the motor? If so connect it there or if not connect it to the frame of the motor.

    thanks - no ground wire on the motor - ext cord has three wires motor has two black ones so i am left with the ground wire unnattached -

    The green wire is a safety to give electricity from a shorted out device a direct path to ground, other than you! As bfjou812 said, just attach it anywhere on the metal part of the motor. Can't be too safe!
    Nostalgia isn't what it used to be...
