Here's a video of the new & improved fence thrasher. OK, the video shows the prop thrashing a chair (I don't have a fence in the basement).
Calling it a chair thrasher doesn't seem that effective, hopefully you get the idea.

    It's a WWM prop, enjoy ---

Yeah, I guess he's not doing too much thrashing. Maybe a Fence Laugher?

I tried increasing the rpm's of the WWM, but the move was too violent, and I think it would break the armature.

Maybe one of these days I'll reenforce the armature and use pneumatics, but not this year.

Sorry, I didn't document the process for many of the props.

I can tell you though the 'thrasher/laugher' is 2x2 pine for the legs, spine, shoulders and neck. Newspaper rolls for ribs. PVC pipe for arms.
Great stuff was smeared all over (very thinly) then globs of liquid latex & paper towel was used for the rotting flesh look.

The torso has a hinge to the hips, the WWM has an armature connected to mid-upper back to create movement.

Humm, never thought of that. Maybe the next project can be a zombie doing push ups?
