Various, - firefly,I-Zombie, home built lite organs, & even the ol cheap FX lightenning box. There are a few companies out there also making them,
just depends on which model / serious of a lightening show you want to go wattage wise ! & funds.....

I have a Pioneer SX203 receiver & a Sanyo EQ to boost the bass,Technics a cd player,( also used my PS2 to play a cd thru the Pioneer). The speakers are big 2ft all boxes with tweet, mid & a 12" woofer (old school) I have a surround theater, thought about using that myself. The sub woofer should give an awesome boom & smaller speakers would have a nice crisp crack for the lightening. Truthfully best to try out a thunder cd in your home theater system & see how it sounds to you. Technically yes, should work.
