So, my idea was to get some rubber dishwashing gloves, the kind that go all the way up to the elbow, wrap a few small wires lightly around where the knuckles are supposed to be, so that it would just make an indentation, and then filling it with great stuff/similar product. Would this work? I've never used great stuff before, and was thinking of trying this for one of my props I want to make. so if you have any pointers on how to do this, or if this idea just wont work that well, let me know. Thank you.
I know i'll have to cut the gloves off more than likely, and might have to use a releasing agent.

I did something similar with the fiances yard gloves last night.
I cut some pieces off of a hanger, inserted them through each finger, poking out a bit to resemble a fingernail. Then started spraying the great stuff inside each finger, then the palm, and sealed the glove shut at the wrist.
When it dried the fingers poofed out so much, as did the palm, it looks more like a monster hand, lol. But it worked...
Then I covered the outside of the glove with a layer of great stuff. Looks pretty cool. Now to paint
Try it!

I tried that, but had trouble getting the gloves to fill properly without voids. Also makes the gloves bulge out in strange ways. OK if you are looking for that type of effect or leaving the gloves on, but not too successful for actually making foam hands if that's what you had in mind.

i just did this this weekend. my issue was the foam didn't expand as much as i thought, so now the hand isn't really full. I don't know if it will work when i go back in and try to spray another coat because the orginal coat is sorta hard. it took mine two days to get hard, but i flipped the rubber gloves inside out so i could paint the hand to match the mask i'm using so i think the rubber didn't help the hardening process. I cut the tips of the glove and put in the witch fingers they sell at the party store.

I had the exact same problem when I did this. The palm expanded more than any other part. I still use them on my Mad Scientist prop, and nobody seems to notice. Maybe it's just an effect of the Uranium P-238?
