Perhaps I should post this in the general Halloween, but I figured all you prop guys would be more help to me. I am in charge of building a scarecrow for a competition in my home town. There are separate categories for business, schools, and non-profits. I am looking for Ideas for a scarecrow/monster to compete in the business category for my coffee shop.
Here are our requirements:
~ Must have logo incorporated somehow
~ Must be extreme - Lights/sound/fog/etc. *I prefer non-motorized, as that takes a lot of time (which we don't have)
~ No Blood/guts (scary/suggestively gross is ok)
~ Must be light enough to hang on Lamppost (will be 7+feet off the ground) with industrial zip-ties
~ Budget is $100 or less.
If you need help with logo incorporation, We are a coffee shop that roasts it's own coffee. You can read about us at http://www.jacksoncoffeeco.com If you check out "our stores -> billboards", you will see we are big-time into advertising, and our "so good, its scary!" campaign was such a big hit the first year, that we did it again last year.
We have access to a fog Machine, and a "Lights and sounds of christmas" box by Gemmy (with the aux input for sound/light control). We also have a few construction materials left from when we built our store 3 years ago. We have a bunch of burlap sacks from our coffee roasting, and human clothes will not be an issue in procuring.
Previous scarecrows we made were:
~a man sitting on a chair with a burlap face, holding one of our cups with steam coming from it.
~A ghoul popping out of a Giant Logo cup with steam in the cup
~three ghouls circling the lamp posts with our cups in their hands
Any Ideas you guys and gals may have would be much appreciated. I was thinking about doing an electric chair with a guy in it, but want to see what other people can come up with, since I didn't know how to incorporate our logo. Thanks!
