Alright, I'm about to dive head first into the 3 axis skull world, have my kit on it's way. I have a Bucky skeleton coming as well. I think I have a pretty firm grasp on this for not having any hands on time yet. It will just be figuring out the VSA software, but it looks like the monkeybasic programs make it fairly easy.
So I got to thinking, as I don't have any of this in front of me I'm not sure it would work. But would it be possible to animate Bucky's arms, via high torque actuators spinning a gear meshed with a gear on the rod going through the shoulder. Then also run a small cable through the arm bones and elbow, hooked to another servo that tightens and loosens the wire which should, allow the elbow to bend.
It appears there is enough room in the chest cavity area to mount the servos without being noticed much, and corpsing could hide them even more. The SSC-32 should have the capacity to run these extra servos. So it seems like with maybe an addition 100 bucks in parts and some trial and error, that it may work.
Am I crazy or what?![]()

I'm assuming you bought a kit from GYS? If I remember correctly Halloween Bob did a short video or tutorial on arm movement. I think he used 2 or 3 servos per arm and they were very high torque servos. It can be done .....

also, Buckaneerdude did a great job with an arm for his coachman, there are several videos on youtube. Just put Buckaneerdude in the search. I believe he used Hitec HS-645MG servos for the elbow and the shoulder pivot and a Servo City Gear box SPG785A-BM for the shoulder rotation. Keith
