I just ordered two of these guys from Cabela's for under $10 each. I'm not sure how it will eventually get used in my haunt but loved that it has 9 seconds of recording time. Obviously it's smaller than the original Billy Bass fish & has a shorter recording time (original 20 seconds) but still a decent size. Maybe he'll just say "Boo". Anyway it's been in the Cabela's Bargain Cave for a few weeks now and has limited stock so if you think you might have any interest in it, I'd say "go fish" now!

BTW this didn't help me but if you live near a Cabela's you can save on shipping by having it sent to your store.

Here's a few links to hacks that were done on the Gemmy's fish toys. Something to inspire you. Any way since the first fish was hacked a lot of people have done their own and a web search will pull up all kinds of projects. I see some people are working on hacking it with mbed.

Nice price. I've only seen the Fish Filet guy in our stores (not the mini Billy Bass which is what I posted about). Saw a few interesting hacks with the Filet-o-fish guy too but he's been full price so far. Wonder what Gemmy will have out this year in the drug stores at Christmastime.

While in a CVS today, I picked up the animated, full-size, blue Filet-o-fish (reg. 19.99) today for $5. This is the only fish they are currently selling. I found mine in the summer clearance area. This store had just put up a sign 75% off all summer stuff and the fish were in that aisle. I was in another CVS and they hadn't marked down summer yet. He's no longer on the Gemmy website BTW.
