Ok, I may need my head examined but after years of lusting for a skulltronix animated skull I think this may be the year I drop the coin....
Does anyone else have one? If so how hard is it to program? My biggest worry now is buying it and not being able to program it.....

There a couple people here & on another forum that have them, they do have pre recorded stuff. Unless you've worked with VSA before or have a fast learning curve for this stuff,
hard to say how long would take you, also how long of an event you do if you plan on a custom event. They can do a custom one for you for a couple extra $$
Also I believe they only make so many each year, so cut off is getting close....When you look in the mirror at midnight,....what looks back at you.........

I love mine, well worth the money. VSA has a slight learning curve to it, but if I can get it figured out anyone can. If you're short on time invest in a good quality joystick. You can use it to record the movements one channel at a time. VSA also has a wave form analysis built in to automatically sync the jaw, but i've found it needs a bit of tweaking afterward to look right.

If you decide to make your own routine, I recommend using MonkeyBasic's TrackSkull program and a a Logitech Extreme 3D joystick like this one.
You can record the actions of up to 4 servos at the same time. I like this particular joystick because it has a twist axis where I setup TrackSkull to record the head rotation on. Then the tilt and nod motions are set on the stick left & right and stick forward & back. The joystick trigger is set to record jaw movement. I used it to do our 3axis skulls and it worked great. Once you have the jaw and head movement like you want, you can also use the joystick and TrackSkull to program the eyes, you just need to tell TrackSkull what channels those servos are on and which joystick motions you want to associate with them.
Yeah, my wife has lusted after the SkullTronix skull for at least 5 years. I would love to see the inside of one of them just to how they get such awesome movement on the head.

I got one of the DMX models with the light package and the 'Seance' routine. Well worth every nickel! My only complaint (and it's not much of one), is that a routine for the home yard haunter hasn't been developed yet. Would love to see a "Welcome to our haunted graveyard' program. With that being said, the Skulltronix unit is flat amazing in all respects and the level of product support you'll get from Jerry is unsurpassed.

Funny you should say that because I am getting it for a yard show and was suprised at the lack of "routines" for the small guys. Seance seems to look ok so I am thinking do that this year and try to develop my own next year.
Still struggling with dropping $1,500 but it is soooo damn cool.....
