IImagine instead of people going in and never coming out... people coming out that never went in!
Every year we do a walkaround tour of our haunted yard plus a mad scientist garage. THIS year we decided to just have people walk the entire property in a big circle around the house finishing with a basement funhouse walkthru. As I thought about this I realized that the basic tour takes about 7 minites with the basement another 5. The people waiting for their kids or friends or whatever who didn't take part and waited by the road would be able to anticipate the time and seeing there friends go into the haunted basement(funhouse) they would figure it'll be a couple minites more. Thats when it hit me that a narrow passage along one side of the house the color of the house and a facade nex to the entrance to the funhouse (and inflatable frankenstein arch) with Funhouse written on it like old funhouses did would obscure a passage that people could use to enter the garage and basement unobserved if black sheeting were hung almost the length of the garage the width of the arch. The people who opt for the funhouse would go down parellel side passages and pass BEHIND the black material hanging at the back, thus entering the funhouse unseen.

So imagine when only part of the group that started the tour comes back and the rest just dissappear for enough time for people to start worrying??? Too funny. In past years we've gotten trick or treaters to play along and come screaming out of the garage like something horribn;e had happened. We've actually gotten most people toi play along where others actually pass on the garage thinkinging it too scary... its actually silly and lame, but tort ers love MESSING with other trick or treaters...lol. So we figure to have the ones who don't want to take the basement tour go back to the people waiting for them to come back and say something like "All of the sudden everyone else was gone! Lol. Imagine a haunted tour where initially anyway, only SOME of the4 people who take the tour come back... And later people appear from nowhere, leaving a haunted house they never went in.... Well, that the plan anyway. Thoughts? Improvements. Demented pats on the back for creativity????? Cait

PS sorry for the late night ramble style posting. Spent the day building this hidden entrance and the combined exhaustion and paint fumes are taking their toll.
