We're thinking about getting the "Haunted Forest" door trim, made by Rubies, to place around our front door this year. But, we've never seen it in person and wonder if anybody has seen, or have it, and any opinions on it. We've found it online for about $200. Here's a link to what I am talking about, although this is not the place we would be buying it from.

Thanks!

It looks awesome but I'm not sure if it's worth the $200.00 price tag unless you reuse it every year.
halloween is a super cool holiday.

Never seen one in person just keep in mind (cause some people tend to not see things like this) ADD YOUR OWN MOSS AND GREENERY TO FINISH A VERY SCARY FACADE.
so what they show you is with the moss and greenery you wont get that.
If you buy it post pictures would be interested in how it looks on its own

Door trim –

I purchased the Haunted Forest door trim several years ago from Haunt Your Home. There are 5 pieces - the sides are each two parts plus the top piece.
The left and right sides are the same - in other words the mold is the same so theres no true left / right if you know what I mean. Other than that, the details in the foam rubber mold are pretty good and I get lots of compliments on it. I know when I ordered mine, the Welcome sign was not part of the set but was available separately. I believe the one shown in the link is not included either going by the description. I still have the bill for mine and I paid
$210.00 in 2007. It's my most expensive prop and one of my favorites!
Here's what mine looks like.

Hey Guys...
Just as a side note:
Although it is advertised as a door trim, think outside the box. You can also use it to frame a scene or create the illusion of an entrance. Another example would be if you wanted to make a great entrance for your haunt, build boxes to act as pillars and paint them brown like the background color of the haunted forest trim. Simply attach the pieces, add in some moss, some inexpensive foam pieces like skulls (cut flat on the back) some rats etc. to fill in the voids. It would be a great interpretation of the pillar and archway that many haunters use for their displays or cemetery entrances. Make sure to throw add some flood lights to show it off!
