So how necessary is a fog timer? Would it be a bad idea just to have it constantly running? I'm going to be using it with the irrigation pipe thing outside in the front yard for a cemetery.

    Thanks,

    Phil

It wouldnt be bad if it was running the whole time I dont think, you would just have to watch the fog juice level and I am sure you would be dealing with more fog juice than say me, because I have a timer, which does intervals and durations. So basically I can set it to fog for 30 seconds or something and then after that it shuts down, and then I can set the interval for 3 minutes or less say and then it will start back on automatically.

Some people just tape down the button on the remote, but that means that the fogger will run until it's too cold to make fog. It takes longer to re-heat if this happens. Using the timer lets you set shorter on times with a reasonable off interval, helping prevent the long re-heat periods. I agree with HHP - timers are mandatory.
