Anyone run across a realy crappy and very cheap foam skull retail anywhere? Everything I'm seeing is at least $5 - I know I can get cheaper than that!
I need a head for a spider victim, so I dont care how bad it looks, it just needs to have a good human head shape to it. The ones I've seen in local dollar stores arent the right size - all too small.

Dollar Store.
I seen a smaller sized one (6" or so) at my local dollar store over the weekend. It was covered in glitter and a bit odd shaped. They had larger ones in plastic that also had a strange look to them. I bought one just to see how it looked on my malibu landscaping lights. My teenage son said it looked like an alien. I think I agree. But, it was only $1.
I also found plastic severed hands and feet. I bought a bunch of those to add to a string of white holiday lights.
At a different dollar store, I found small plastic skulls that I'll be using to top this year's fence project (post to come later). They came 9 in a bag for $1 and were about 2" tall.

Yeah I think I'm going to have to hit more dollar stores and see if I can find one vaguely human sized.

Michaels had some, can't recall the price though. If you used their coupons or hit them on sale, they'd have to be cheaper.

I would say 4-5 is the going price.Last year they were 4 at walmart.
The dollar tree has the blucky looking one if you don't care how the head looks I would get that one.You can always modify it.

This year more are between 4-5 dollars. I did go to a .99 cent store and I found crappy looking ones (good for projects), which were a dollar each which is awesome. OF course this was after I bought a $5 dollar one from party city, drilled a hole in its head and stuck wiring threw it to make a ghost... can't return it now haha. So check out the .99 cent store if you have one around you.

I bought six of the little crappy $1.00 ones from Dollar Tree and made tiki torch skulls out of them.
I just cut the top and bottom out, slid the torch through, covered with paper mache and stained them.
They`re not the foam ones though. They are blow mold blucky type skulls

The dollar store skulls look pretty bad. Like NIL8rsaid, the eye sockets give them an alien look. But there are several threads on here where some posters have made them look really cool. Do a search on skulls.
They are kind of small too, but sticking some hair on top goes a long way towards making them more life-sized.
