greetings haunters. time to put your thinking caps on. i have available to me this year four large tubes used for making concrete pillars. they are 2' in diameter by 4' tall, and very stout. they would make great trash can trauma props but i have not ventured into pneumatics yet and don't look to this year.

    any great ideas?

    thanks and happy haunting

a bottomless pit/hole? In the tutorial section was a great example using rope lights. Could make it look like hole deep into the liquid 'magma' at the center of the earth, err... hell?

They are great for use as columns in cemetery gates and fence dividers, glue them together into groups and they will make a fantastic lightweight fluted columns.

i thought about using them for my bottomless pit but i'm 3/4 the way finished with a wooden version.

as for columns, they are 2' in diameter which makes them a bit big for my indoor haunt. i'm working in an area just a bit larger than half a basketball court (it is in fact a gym). to get the most out of the area my halls are generally 4' wide and the rooms about 10x10.

mind you i don't have to use these for anything but i keep looking at them and thinking "these would be great for something".

    thanks for the ideas

A mausoleum. Think about the Parthenon, and build a big mausoleum in sections. Then hide a fog chilled inside and let the fog pour out.

You could have a couple of fans inside the tubes with silk lit flames coming out the top of them.
Serving as the main gateway to your haunt.

if yo have a toxic or sewer scene, maybe paint them white silver or black like pipes. We are going to use a large sewer pipe and put a rat in it on the end and then put a light behind that.

Have not done it yet, so not sure how it will turn out.

i think i may have it. since my haunt now has a couple cave like props i may use two of them set horizontally on top of each other in a large rock eating machine. which of course will have a leg stuck in the teeth.
i have a few props to build before i get to this one so keep the ideas coming because i'm open for change.
