Normally i wouldn't look for help on this one but this stand will be different than my other stands. I want to be able to take this apart in sections and store it or ship it in one box. I'd like to either make it look like a tree or an old piece of wood. I'm racking my brain on this one. I have a few ideas that involve PVC, but i'm not sure how well they would work.

    Any ideas are welcomed.

Maybe get a gnarled-looking branch, cut into 2-3 sections, connect with dowels?

Nick, Do you have any sketches of an idea of what you're looking for? I'm thinking of redoing my scarecrow also this year cause last year it got wet, too heavy and kept falling over.

I would go PVC painted black. Then zip tie or wire old branches to it.1 screw in each joint should hold it.Then pull screws, knock apart and store in a small container.

I made this scarecrow prop for a customer using PVC and foam. It breaks down into a box.
It is pretty much weather resistant. This one came with a PVC stand, but you could pound conduit into the ground and slide the parts over it instead so it looks like there is no hardware.

One thing i need to add is that it needs to be sturdy enough to hold up a bucky torso. My original plan was PVC but i wanted to see what ideas you guys had.
