I am overjoyed I have been able to run a rocking chair with windshield wiper motor from my PC power supply. I would like to run a number of other items from the same supply. I am thinking of some led's and maybe some small cd players.

Anyone know how much these things can safely power simultaneously? I'm decent with wiring but the math involved makes my brain hurt.

What info from the power supply would I need to include to figure the amount?

Once again, thanks in advance for any assistance.

Since the wiper motor would be running on the 12 volt side of the power supply. you should be able to run leds and cd players on the 5 volt and 3.3 volt side with out a problem.

You should find a list of the amps that it can provide for each of the voltages on one of the labels.

I have run a wiper motor, and several smaller motors, along with lasers and leds from a single PSU.

Thanks for the info Josh. sounds like the small loads I'm thinking of shouldn't burn out or break anything.

It's awesome have my brother-in-law as an IT guy for a college... he scavenges all the supplies I need.
