hello all! I'm new here. I have come to this site before and seen a few great ideas. I'm looking for a ghost scene for our hayride. We make all props ourselves and are on a very tight budget. Anyone have any ideas?

The first thing that comes to mind is a group Flying Crank Ghosts in the trees along the path. If you can source the motors the rest is really inexpensive to build.
Perhaps rent a projector or borrow one from someones work and buy a ghost DVD to project. When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.

Give some ideas about what exactly you are trying to go for in your ghost scene and i can help you out. ive been putting together an annual hayride for the past 5 years so i can share some of my knowledge.

I've suggested this before Cool & Cheap. Just some chicken wire. Not my idea I'll try & get the name of the perso who created it.

Thanks everyone. here is my dilema... we only light with torches, no electric available. battery power is possible but nothing big. the torches luminate each scene, not all of them because that would just take the scare out of it
any other ideas besides ghosts are also welcome. we have 11 scenes and are always trying to add more. all ideas are welcome!!! Thank you all

one other thing, i had seen one last year and can't remember the site it was on. it was sort of like a big crypt with the ghost seeming to be coming out of it. I like the chicken wire one but not sure how to make it show at night? any thoughts??

If you're using torches how about a canibal scene. Large boiling pot with people/parts being cooked. Perhaps a victom or two roasting over an open flame. Drums pounding, actors dancing and chanting around the victims and then swarm the ride with more canibals attacking from behind.
When storage is a concearn, put your monster props under the kids beds.
