    finished my hangman that i will be using in my grave yard. I am going to have a skeleton hanging from it and will be attaching a ghost that will fly from the skeleton down to a grave.

    I used some left over mortar on the boards to give it more of an old look

    Looks great....do you have any more pics of the base? I am in the process of building a Hangman's Gallows myself and I am looking to see how others have attached the upright beam to the base....

    I placed a few cut boards inbetween the two boards for the bottom. I heavily glued them, screwed them togther, and also nailed them.

    I then traced out the outline and pre drilled a few holes. I then hglued the base, screwed in large screws, and hammared in some large nails.

    I then took two fence boards and cut them to use them as support aswell.

    Thanks for the pic.... That gives me an idea on how to mount the main upright for my prop. I built a small raised platform that is about two feet high. I am going to add a set of angled braces to the upright and screw it to the base...
