blue flood lights and smaller spotlights of different colors. This year though i am going to try putting my lights 10' in the air shining down hopefully to resemble more natural moon lighting.
"...And out of the darkness, the Zombie did call
True pain and suffering he brought to them all
Away ran the children to hide in their beds,
for fear that the devil would chop off their heads..."

Check out Rob's tutorial on lighting. It's one of the best available.
We have a small front yard and use 2-3 100 watt blue floods that give it a nice moon light wash. I also have an orange flood for accent and I light my columns from overhead with another orange flood mounted in a tree.
I used to over-light my display and it looked "Christmasy." Less is better for atmosphere/mood, IMO.

I use blue floods, and tiki torches in my fence posts. http://www.halloweenforum.com/member...-img-0955.html

This year I have several of the ever popular LED spots posted here I will hit with some accents.

I like this Thread! The Cemetery is the largest part of my haunt and lighting is the most important part of any display.

I use Blue LED spots and keep everything else dark:

Sorry for the large pic, there are more pics in my albums. In this photo, you can see where I placed the LED spot, behind a large stone. The benifit to LED's is that everything else stays dark and only what you spot is lit.

I bought them on eBay. Type 'E27 Blue LED Bulb' in the search box. They are the standard socket bulbs. I used the outdoor ground socket stakes to hold the lights. You can get them at most hardware stores in the landscape lighting section or in the christmas lighting section.
